The DowntownABQ MainStreet Initiative, in tandem with the Downtown Growers’ Market, is in the process of building a values-driven community kitchen committed to local sourcing, sustainable practices, and building social benefit with culinary entrepreneurs and the Downtown community at large. Albuquerque’s rich culinary history and the increased demand for locally- and sustainably-produced foods that support local cuisine, people, and economy makes this initiative more relevant than ever. The goal of the kitchen is to nurture new ideas, help develop new products, and positively impact the Downtown community with quality food production and cooperative practices.
